Tickets for the concerts are always for sale in front of Academia and usually also Santa Maria Majore(the wedding cake church). Normally there will be sellers in period costumes with the tickets. You can also purchase tickets at the concert venues an hour prior to the start.

Not many tourists are interested in 16th century art , so there are no long lines in the Scuola

This is a museum, not a hotel. Yes, it IS stunning, but I think they might take exception to your camping out on the premises. FYI, not much of anything in Venice takes longer than a 30-minute walk, so I imagine San Rocco is perhaps 20 minutes to the Rialto Bridge, and perhaps a little longer to St. Mark's, probably shorter just a bit via Accademia Bridge.
